2 years on, and life is sooooo much better!
2 years ago on the 1st September 2016, I stopped drinking in the run up to a half marathon I was doing and haven't had a drop since! From previous posts, and anyone that knows me well, will know that drinking a glass of wine or two (!?!) was part and parcel of my life and I would rarely consider any social functions unless vino was involved!! Drinking was fun, then less fun and became habitual and unhealthy, and as a mother of three amazing kids I desperately wanted them to see that you don't need to drink to enjoy life, and that drinking alcohol isn't just what you do as you grow up. Moderation is not an easy thing for many, myself included and I stopped and started so many times as I explored the concept of removing alcohol from my life.
